John Lewis is hoping that a dash of nostalgia will get consumers into the festive mood this year.
In the new ad, you can see the father tidying up after Christmas morning, picking up discarded wrapping paper from beneath the tree, when he stumbles upon an unopened present marked simply with the word “Dad.”
Curious and a little puzzled, he opens it, unaware of who the mysterious gift is from.
His teenage son watches nervously as his dad unwraps the present to find a vinyl record of the iconic 90s dance track “Where Love Lives” by Alison Limerick.
