It comes into effect for Cork from 5pm on Saturday evening and will run for 12 hours.

Met Eireann is warning of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

Cathal Nolan from Irelands Weather Channel has been looking at Corks weekend weather:

"Accompanying that rain there will also be freshening southerly winds and they will reach Gale Force along southern coastal parts of Cork getting up as high as 80 to 90 km per hour generally along these coastal areas, maybe up to 100 km per hour across some exposed headlands.

Headlands inland, winds typically of about 50 to 60 km per hour so certainly feeling very blustery.

As we go into Sunday we see that rain clear through from the early hours of Sunday morning. so by about 6am, 7am we should start to see dry conditions across the county."
