It will be the Middletons man third year in the position, having succeeded Matthew Toomey in his first year.

Manly guided Cork to the All-Ireland title and was also named Managers of the Year.

This year Cork won the National League Division 1 crown for the first time in 12 years, but were denied a three in a row of All-Ireland wins when losing to Galway by one point in August having played the entire second half with 14 players.
