Irish Rail unveiled its Emerging Preferred Option last month.
Today is the final day to take part in public consultation on Phase 2 of the Cork Area Commuter Rail programme.
The plan includes eight new stations, upgrades to three more, a new depot, and full electrification of the rail network, aiming to deliver a train every ten minutes across Cork’s main commuter lines.
Irish Rail says the project is about more than just trains, it’s a move toward a cleaner, greener, better-connected Cork.
This is the first public consultation on the emerging preferred option, and feedback from the public will help shape the final design.
