Eoin Lynch was locked out of his account after it was hacked over the weekend.
The 18-year-old from Mitchelstown, who shot to viral fame at the National Ploughing Championships for his now-famous declaration of love for slurry, says his profile was taken over, videos deleted, and followers unfollowed. He claims the hacker even demanded money.
Lynch, who has built a large following and works with brands through the platform, says losing access was already impacting his income.
Speaking on Cork’s 96FM Opinion Line, he explained:
“Yeah, well, they're in there now and they changed my profile and my name. They've unfollowed people, took down all my videos, requested money… I've sent off an email to TikTok themselves and they keep asking for verification.”
In an update Monday afternoon TikTok has confirmed to Cork's 96FM that they have reinstated his control of the account.
